We had the most delicious Indian food here two nights in a row. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves perfectly spiced and marinated curry. We had the chicken madras & chicken tikka curry with yellow rice and garlic naan bread and freshly squeezed pineapple juice. It was soo good!

Air conditioning! And fans!I had 2 hours to hang from my hotel checkout until the bus to the airport so it was great to find a non sweaty place to have a leisurely lunch and spend the time.It was a 4.5 stars on here and I was warmly greeted and cared for and the seating and table was very comfortable.I ordered papaya salad, panang Curry with veggies and garlic Naan.... a bit non traditional, but so am I ....Well everything was very good and my strategy to stay dry until the bus worked great!

I gotta tell you, it was the name at this café that peaked my interest big time. Madras Café: Kinda cute, don’t you think? As a big lover of South Indian vegetarian food (being ethnically Sinhalese myself), I am pretty discerning on my South Asian grub. The dosa at Madras café was yummy with not too much ghee plus crispy, just the way I like it. The masala stuffing was good. The condiments of white coconut chutney and tomato red chutney and the raitas (yoghurt dip like tziki) were so flavourful and fresh. What I really enjoyed was the sambar which was fresh and spicefully delightful to my Asian palate. I could have indeed been in Madras for this brunch meal as it was so genuinely South Indian. For a beverage, I had the fresh mango juice. I must say that the mangoes are so sweet and fresh in Ao Nong, Thailand. I have yet to have a sour mango in my month long stay here either via a drink or cut fruit. So bring on those mangoes in Ao Nong ! I topped off my meal with a masala chai which was made to perfection and very authentic with the right touch of cardamoms that I mulled with delight. You gotta love cardamoms - so good for ones digestion! My meal selection was perfect for a light brunch before I took a high tide dip and got to my media filming work post lunch. I felt light and happy in the sea with a belly filled by Madras Café. Thank you! Muah, muah, muah …A notable feature at The Madras Café is it offers a good wine selection of old and new world wines, plus a full bar. It’s a fully air-conditioned dining operation with an upscale décor yet a relaxed overall vibe. I love the traditional Indian sitar music playing in the background incorporating the tunes of Ajit Singh. It gave the restaurant a very authentic and chill feel for me as an eternal music junkie. The staff are prompt and professional in their service. The meals do not take too long to reach your dining table, which I like a lot.The vegetarian recommendations from the chef are: paneer butter masala, yellow dahl, paneer tikka, vegetable jalfrezi, aloo jera, tomato uttapam, mixed vegetable uttapam and masala dosa. For dessert try the pudding kheer, mango sticky rice and gulab jamun which all came highly recommended by the chef.Seafood recommendations: Prawn tikka, prawn towa, fish tikka, seafood sizzling platter and the prawn biriyani. There’s also a mixed seafood platter that comes highly recommended by the staff.Non-vegetarian recommendations are: vindaloo chicken madras, chicken tikka and butter chicken. This restaurant runs open from 11am to 12 midnight each day with the last order at 1130am.Have a lovely, authentically Indian evening and a very fresh meal at this very highly recommended dining spot!Bon appetite folks… enjoy Madras Café!

Good Indian food and quite close to the kind of taste you would expect in India. Prices are very reasonable and the location is also good. Its right in the middle of the market. Parking can be a bit difficult to find. Staff was polite, friendly and attentive. I was very positively surprised to see how the Indian restaurants in Krabi are using Thai ingredients and still getting that authentic Indian food taste and this restaurant was doing it very well. For eg. they're using the thai chillies instead of Indian green chilly and this kind of fusion is giving the food a very refreshing and unique taste - its like you feel the familiarity of the Indian food you have in India and still feel something different and refreshing. Good cleanliness. They were broadcasting the world cup and I think India was playing which adds to the cultural appeal of this place. Overall it was a very good experience. Its cheaper than what you would pay in India for the same quality of food.

We were the only English (only westerners actually) and we loved it - we like our Indian food back home and this was up there with the best.
